Stanley Tucci? Canadians? 18 ounce pucks? Must be hockey withdrawal. I hope Jay sticks around long enough to ask Brian about his macchiatto experience in Chicago. You guys would be appalled at the state of our shop on our bad days, but the screens are clean, the pf's hot, the beans are rushed from the roasting room (post-rest) to the hopper like a still warm liver to the transplant center. If you've been following the love/hate thread on the BG board, one of our long time regulars came back up to the counter today for a single shot and said the first one was so good he could not leave without another. So add one to the love column for our business. Greensboro: 2 and a wake-up.

Why does that star wars bit at the start sound more like a clip from Team America: World Police, than it does the Star Wars Movie? Especially the first bit - "You turned her against me!" "You have done that yourself!" (that second bit sounds totally like Trey Parker's fake english accent voice!)

Eh. Us Canuckians, eh, we were sitting in groups listening, eh to the show, eh, cuz well, eh, we don't have a lot of internet up here, and well, broadband connections are few and far between, eh, and we have to pool our resources to rent a two hour broadband connection, eh. So we all go down to the government liquor store and buy a too fer of Blue or when we're feeling frisky, Black Label, eh, and all huddle around Nate's 486 (the only computer powerful enough to run the mp3, eh)... and give a listen!

Seriously, nice to see the Canadians get the props.

For once (at least) I have to agree with Jay. I also expect whatever espresso blend I have choosen to be consistent. At least within a certain window of tolerance. I feel that once a Roaster reaches a certain level of sales and production, that they should be able to achieve that goal.

Single orgins pulled as SOS, or brewed as drip IMHO could/should be the ones used as the way of celebrating the way the coffee can change from crop to crop.
