Scott Conary (http://www.openeyecafe.com/) of Open Eye and a WBC judge told me a couple weeks ago they are getting $8 for a capp in Copenhagen. He made the comment, "...only if we could get that much in the U.S.A."
That is Europe and this is the U.S.A. They pay $8 a gallon for gas and $8 for a capp. They are used to that. The American people would never go for it.
In defence of us Europeans, yes you may have been paying $8 a capp maybe a little more, but I don't think I had a bad coffee the whole time I was in Copenhagen(well except the hotel)those guys are doing some amazing things. Also this was the capital city and not everywhere in Europe is that expensive. God if only we could charge £4 a cup in England. Only if we were selling COE coffees.
I predicted this about 5-10 years ago when it seemed EVERYONE sported a bottle of water everywhere they went ...
You just KNOW that fresh air is going to be next. Just you wait and see.
